Dinner At Lake Nokomis 2011

Just before the sun heats up the earth. Rob and I returned with 3 bags of fresh produce from Richfield Farmer Market. Interesting finds are okra and bitter melon leaves. It was after 6PM, we sat down for a home cooked meal of curry chicken, brown rice, fried bacon rice, flavorful salad and solar made tea. The sun was disappearing behind Lake Nokomis and the big white pale full moon was showing up. Locals are still dipping into the lake. Planes were taking off over the lake every few minutes, birds are flying homes, a few boaters were trying to catch the last of Summer heat. These 3 days are heating up before the temperature starts to plunge down to the 60’s . One of the topics we touched on was the upcoming Homecoming parade.

The Turtle Bread Co. Mpls 2011

The Turtle Bread Co. Chicago Ave Mpls Sept 10, 2011

After moon viewing, we drove over to The Turtle Bread Co. on Chicago Ave. for dessert. Megan chose Triple Chocolate cake, Robert had a Blondie, I asked for Blueberry Raspberry pie. They’re all so rich and good. I enjoyed the corner between E 48th Street and Chicago Ave. in Minneapolis. People walking the dogs, sitting outside having meals, lighted bicyclists in a row, teens getting quiches, couple out for a night. All together on September 10 2011, under a beautiful mesmerizing full moon
