April 25-29, 2012 First Robotics Championship in St. Loiis, Missouri

Wed. Apr. 25 Met at Hubert Humphrey Terminal, SW airlines at 5:30AM. Arrived Lambert-ST Louis Airport at 8:35AM. Hopped on Metrolink to Civic Center Sheraton.  To Gateway Arch, lunched at Caleco.  In the afternoon we went to Washington university. Met with Prof. Philip, chair of mechanical engineering dept.  For dinner, IMO pizza delivery to hotel

Thur. Apr. 26 Breakfast and to St. Louis Convention Center and Edward Jones Dome. Practice matches and exhibits were shown. Lunch at Planet Sub 211N 9th st. Qualifying matches and team dinner at TGIF, 529 Chestnut St.

Friday Apr 27 Bagel breakfast delivered by Robert to hotel room. To Convention Ctr. for the ceremony and the FRC qualifying matches. Lunch at Culinary Grocery store 315N 9th st. Took metro to 450 Union Station and dinnered at Hard Rock Cafe

Saturday Apr. 28 At Dome for the finals and closing ceremony while tornado was hammering outside and the dome roof. We were told to stay inside till it subsides.  When it was done and over, we were bused to the Science museum where foods, fun and music were.  A great place to complete the 3 days of  hectic and competitive pressure.

Sunday Apr. 29 Returned home after a long wait at St. Louis airport due to the huge number of Robotics participants.
