Brandenburg gate, Berlin Germany_13 Oct 2015

Leaving Amersfoort, we took 5 hours train to Berlin. Two months old Ibis hotel across the train station was the best decision made in 3°c weather. Walked to Brandenburg gate to watch the impressive International ‘Festival of Lights’ show/competition. Creative and colorful laser lights beamed onto the gate.

Reichstag, Berlin Germany_14 Oct 2015

Trekked across the city, first stop Reichstag. Revisited Brandenburg gate in the morning. Drizzly, sheltered inside Berlin mall for bratwurst, potatoes and veg sausage soup. R ordered extra fried potatoes which was too much. Next table sat four young local girls having eggs on top of potato with mayonaise. Dinner at Hans in Gluck next door to Ibis in a oak tree liked setting. Served only delicious burgers. Me, avocado beef, R mushroom veg burger. That sealed the night, for we are going to Warsaw, Poland early next morning.
