Rememberance

Rochester Art Center, Nov. 19, 2011

The Ruenitz family gathered at Charter House chapel to remember Helen/ mom/grandmother/mother-in-law.   With the chaplain officiating Helen’s favorite Bible verses were included:  such as Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 along with the last words of Crowfoot – orator of the Blackfeet confederation – Apr. 1890.  It was a nice family re-union with the three sons of Helen, 2 granddaughters, and 2 daughters-in-law.

Helen Ruenitz

1918-2011

On a chilly autumn morning, Friday Nov. 4 2011, Helen left us.  The world has lost a brilliant star. Though everyone of us is given an expiration date, still it’s very sad.  She had given us so much and asked for so little back.  I’m thankful and fortunate to have known and spent time with her.  She had shown me how to be a better human.  She was a fantastic mother-in-law.  And a super cool loving grandmother. Big drop of tears rolled down Megan’s cheeks when she heard her beloved Oma had slipped to the other side. We’re going to miss her.  Thank you for all you have done.  Goodbye for now. We love you.
